Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, had a pleasant surprise when he came across a bus named after his late friend, Sir David Amess MP, whilst setting out on a recent trip.
Mark was visiting Rayleigh Station when he noticed the bus, operated by local bus company Arriva and decorated in a special livery, in memory of his late friend and colleague, Sir David Amess.
Commenting on the occasion, Mark said:
“I had heard that Arriva had kindly named one of their buses after Sir David, but this was the first time I had really seen it up close. It’s a very nice picture of him and, I think, a fitting tribute to such a popular and well-loved South Essex MP. God Bless this bus and all who travel on her.”
