Mark Francois, MP for Rayleigh and Wickford, was delighted to welcome a group of students from Holt Farm Junior School to the Houses of Parliament earlier this week.
The visit gave the children a unique opportunity to learn more about the workings of Parliament and the role of an MP. After a guided tour of the iconic building, which included visits to the historic Chambers of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Mark met with the students for an informal Q&A session and the young visitors asked a range of interesting and thoughtful questions, including inquiries about the MP's role and whether he had ever met the King.
Following the Q&A, Mark was pleased to present certificates of achievement to each student in recognition of their keen interest and enthusiasm during the visit.
