Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, was put through his paces by the School Council, during a recent visit to Rayleigh Primary School.
The school, which is situated in Love Lane, in the heart of the town, has recently achieved a ‘Good’ rating from OFSTED, with parts of its early years provision even rated ‘Outstanding’ and Mark was visiting the school to congratulate staff and pupils on their achievement.
During his visit Mark was taken on a tour of the popular school by Headteacher, Miss Jennifer Milner. Mark saw a number of lessons in progress, was quizzed by the School Council and then also congratulated all the pupils, in an end of day assembly.
Speaking about his visit, Mark said:
“I had a very enjoyable visit to Rayleigh Primary, including answering questions from their very bright School Councillors, on everything from climate change, to the role of an MP. The school have done really well on their OFSTED and I wish them all the best for the future.”
