Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, visited popular local transport service, Wyvern Community Transport recently, to help welcome their newest minibus into service.
Mark, who has served as President of Wyvern for many years, was joined by their chairman, C.Cllr June Lumley and other members of the Wyvern team to see the new 16 seater vehicle, at their base at ‘The White House’, adjacent to the Castle Point Borough Council offices, in Benfleet. Wyvern Community Transport is a South Essex mobility charity, which provides pre-booked transport to take individuals and groups to a variety of meetings, appointments and events. The new minibus, which helps replace a much older vehicle, will be a welcome addition to Wyvern’s fleet.
Commenting on the visit, Mark said:
“Wyvern Community Transport do vital work in our community, helping get people, particularly the elderly or those with mobility issues, from A to B. This new minibus will help them to keep up their important efforts, which I am proud to support.”
