A local MP met with an award-winning charity worker at a recent charity open day in Hockley.
Rayleigh & Wickford MP, Mark Francois, was introduced to Corrina O’Donnell, winner of the BBC Essex Make a Difference Award in 2023, for her work with the Charity ‘United in Kind.’
The charity encourages volunteers to support people in the community, who are suffering from loneliness or isolation. Mark met Corrina when she attended an open day at the Hockley and Hawkwell Day Centre, when local charities were encouraged to showcase their achievements and seek further support.
Commenting on his meeting, Mark said:
“I would like to commend Corrina and her colleagues at United in Kind for all their valuable work in our local community, especially in supporting those battling loneliness or isolation. If anyone who wants to help them in their important efforts contacts my office, I will be very glad to pass their details on.”
