Rayleigh and Wickford’s MP, Mark Francois, paid a visit to the popular Laughing Pear Café, in Rayleigh, on Saturday, as part of the nationwide “Small Business Saturday” campaign.
The aim of the campaign is to highlight the valuable contribution of small businesses to the wider economy and allows MPs an opportunity to pick out a successful business which is contributing to local and national success.
Commenting on his nomination of the cafe for this year’s campaign, Mark said:
“The Laughing Pear, which opened some three years ago has proved extremely popular with my constituents - when I visited last Saturday lunchtime it was absolutely packed. The whole team there are really welcoming and enthusiastic, so I was very happy to give them my support as part of this year’s Small Business Saturday campaign.”
