Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, popped into a day care centre for people with dementia recently, to demonstrate his support for their important work.
The Harbour Club, which is based in a completely refurbished Victorian schoolhouse in Hullbridge, is run by care expert Jane Bushell. Her small team of experienced staff and volunteers provide specialised day-care for around a dozen local residents, who suffer from varying stages of dementia. As the local MP, Mark helped open the club around a decade ago and has been a strong supporter of their work ever since.
Speaking about his visit, Mark said:
“Jane and her dedicated team at the Harbour Club do incredible work in supporting dementia sufferers and their families. I would encourage anyone who might benefit from their service to contact Jane and see if the Harbour Club can help.”
