Rayleigh and Wickford MP Mark Francois, who is also a national patron of the bereavement charity Cruse Bereavement Care, recently hosted a reception in the Churchill Room at the House of Commons to say farewell to long standing Chief Executive, Debbie Kerslake.
Mark has been a patron of the charity for over a decade and supports them in their work in providing counselling and support for those people who have suffered the loss of family members. Mark has also backed the charity’s work in providing specialist support to military families who have lost loved ones in the campaign in Afghanistan.
Debbie Kerslake has been with Cruse for almost 20 years, and spent the last ten years as the charity’s popular Chief Executive. Mark hosted a special reception for Debbie at the House of Commons where members of Cruse and other associated charities and voluntary groups gathered together to thank Debbie for her long service.
Speaking about the event, Mark Francois said:
“I have always been pleased to serve as a national patron of Cruse Bereavement Care and as such I was delighted to host this special reception to thank Debbie for all the wonderful work she has done for the charity over the years. The big turnout showed the respect in which Debbie is held and we all wished her the very best for a happy and no doubt active retirement.”
