Rayleigh and Wickford MP Mark Francois met some of the specialist physiotherapists when he paid a recent visit to St Luke’s Hospice at Nethermayne in Basildon.
A number of Mark’s constituents have needed to use the services of St Luke’s down the years and Mark remains a firm supporter of the Hospice and the wonderful facilities it provides for families with a relative who needs end of life care.
During his recent visit, Mark was given a tour of the facilities by Chief Executive, Eileen Marshall, who briefed him on the developments at the Hospice and who introduced him to a team of specialist physiotherapists, who provide treatment for both residents and outpatients.
Commenting on his visit to the Hospice, Mark said:
“Alongside Fairhaven’s, St Luke’s provide a wonderful service to families in South Essex and it was a pleasure to be able to visit the hospice and to demonstrate my support for them in person. I met a number of members of staff, including the physiotherapy team, who were extremely jolly and seem to take great pleasure in their work. I’m a real admirer of St Luke’s and I look forward to keeping in touch with them in the future.”
