Rayleigh and Wickford MP Mark Francois recently welcomed a party of 110 pupils from Hockley Primary School when they paid a visit to the Houses of Parliament.
The pupils were taken on a tour of the Palace of Westminster, during which time they were able to go into the chambers of both the House of Commons and the House of Lords before the House sat for the day.
Mark then met with the pupils in Wesminster Hall where he spent time undertaking a question and answer session with the children. During this session Mark answered questions on a range of subjects from the US Presidential Election, Brexit and Mark’s political day-to-day life.
Speaking about the visit by Hockley Primary School Mark said:
“It was a real pleasure to welcome these young people to Parliament, to see and learn about this historic building. The group told me they had really enjoyed their tour and I was very impressed by the quality and range of the questions which they came up with afterwards. I look forward to remaining in touch with the school in the future.”
