Rayleigh and Wickford MP Mark Francois recently spent a Saturday morning attending the opening of the new trampolining centre in Wickford being run by the Ultima Trampoline club. The new centre is located on London Road in Wickford and has been made possible by donations from a variety of charities and trusts including the Veolia North Thames Trust (VNTT).
Mark was first briefed on these plans at one of his regular constituency surgeries some two years ago and he has since followed the project with interest.
Mark went along as the local MP to witness the opening of the centre and to congratulate all those who had been involved on their efforts. The club will serve trampolinists from across South Essex and has already proved very popular with a number of schools who have taken bookings to use the facilities outside of core club time.
Speaking about the new club, Mark Francois said: “This will be a real asset to the local community, trampolining is a great way to get fit and to learn discipline and precision and I am very pleased that the club’s efforts to establish their new home, which stretch back several years, have now come to fruition.”
