Rayleigh and Wickford MP Mark Francois has recently visited the local Rayleigh Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) in Hockley Road in order to see for himself the good work the CAB does on behalf of people living in the area and to show his support for the volunteers that man the bureau.
Mark started his visit by touring the CAB’s offices, accompanied by district manager Sue Murray. Mark spoke with a number of the staff and volunteers about their work and how they provide advice on a number of issues, from benefit claims and legal matters to dealing with debt.
Speaking after the visit, Rayleigh and Wickford MP Mark Francois MP said:
“The volunteers at the CAB do a great job helping local people with their problems. They have built up a high level of local knowledge and expertise and are able to give high quality advice on a range of subjects where local people need help. I know from my own work helping people with their problems in my regular advice surgeries the importance of this type of work and so wish the volunteers in the Rochford and Rayleigh CAB all the best for the future.”
