A local MP gave his backing to an upcoming jobs fair, during a recent visit to his local JobcentrePlus. Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, visited the JobcentrePlus on London Hill, in the heart of Rayleigh, to be briefed on employment trends in the constituency by Dave Cope, the Service Lead for Essex.
As part of that discussion, the Jobcentre team highlighted the forthcoming Jobs Fair at the Ashingdon Memorial Hall, this coming Thursday, 12 September, which is being organised in association with Rochford District Council and where both local and national employers will be seeking to sign up new staff. Those exhibiting range from national employers, like the Armed Forces and the DVSA (who are recruiting driving examiners) through to local firms, such as Home Instead carers and Stephenson’s Coaches.
Speaking about the event, Mark said:
“I am really grateful to the Rayleigh JobcentrePlus staff, for all they are doing to help my constituents find employment. Thursday morning’s Jobs Fair is a great opportunity for those looking for work and I hope local jobseekers will take full advantage of it.”
