Rayleigh and Wickford MP Mark Francois recently visited the Dog’s Trust centre in Nevendon Road in his constituency.
Mark, who helped open the centre back in 2014, was given a tour of the centre, by Lisa Cooper, the Rehoming Centre Manager. Dog’s Trust Nevendon has rehomed 775 dogs so far including 75 this year. In addition, the centre was recently used to film an advert in support of the Trust’s rehoming campaign.
Mark was shown around the centre’s state of the art facilities including a hydropool for physiotherapy before being introduced to several of the residents, including Reggie the Terrier and Max the Jack Russell Terrier cross.
Commenting on the visit, Mark Francois said:
“It was a pleasure to come back and visit the Dog’s Trust centre since I helped open it. It is fantastic to see the great work that is being carried out by the staff to ensure the dog’s in their care are incredibly well looked after. I was impressed with the huge range of facilities available to the canine residents and delighted to see the staff going above and beyond to rehome so many loveable dogs.”
