Rayleigh and Wickford MP Mark Francois has paid tribute to Councillor Terry Cutmore, who led Rochford District Council (RDC) for fifteen years from 2004 - 2019 and who sadly passed away from the Coronavirus yesterday.
Terry Cutmore served on RDC for some twenty years and was also an Essex County Councillor as well. His continuous leadership of RDC for a decade and a half made him one of the longest serving Council leaders in Essex, in living memory.
Paying tribute to Terry Cutmore, Mark Francois said:
“Terry Cutmore gave very good service to the people of Essex over many years, at both District and County Council level. His cheery countenance and positive outlook, combined with a good sense of humour, was a strong feature of his character and he will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are very much with his widow Sue and her family at this very difficult time.”
