The Family Fun Day, which has effectively replaced the former Ashingdon Carnival, was host to a variety of entertainment including Bouncy Castles, Quad Bikes, food stalls, performances from local schools, a dog show, marching band, children’s entertainers and a licenced bar.
Mark had an opportunity to walk around the stands with Councillor Debbie Constable, the Chairman of Ashingdon Parish Council and to chat to some of the stall holders and thank them for supporting the event.
Commenting on the Fun Day Mark said:
“I was sad to see the demise of the Ashingdon Carnival, which was an event enjoyed by the whole community, however I am pleased to see the new Community Family Fun Day now up and running. I thought it was a very successful day, helped by the fantastic weather we enjoyed, and it was wonderful to see the field so full of different stalls and stands, including everything from Charities to local small businesses. It was evident that a lot of effort had gone in, from chief organiser Dave Weeks and Ashingdon Parish Council and their supporters, in coordinating such a well attended event and i look forward to many more just like it in the future.”
