Mark Francois, MP for Rayleigh and Wickford, recently attended a party to celebrate the re-opening of the Fairview Under Fives preschool, at their new premises within Edward Francis Primary School, Rayleigh (following their recent move from Fairview Park).
The party was attended by staff of the nursery as well as the Chairman of Rayleigh Town Council, Cllr Ian Ward, and several local councillors, including County Councillor Malcolm Maddocks, Councillor June Lumley and Councillor Dave Sperring – all of whom have been instrumental in helping to assist the move, which will afford the preschool more space and the exclusive use of an area within the well known school. The new location could also have the benefit of allowing extended opening hours – if the demand is there.
At the event, Mark thanked the school’s Governors and Headteacher, Gary Soars, for their help in supporting the move and local councillors for their encouragement in overcoming a number of bureaucratic obstacles to the preschool’s relocation plans.
Commenting on the event, Mark Francois said:
"It was a pleasure to attend such a fun party to celebrate the Fairview Under Fives finding a new home at Edward Francis Primary School. The staff have all put a lot of hard work into the new premises and it certainly shows. I wish the Fairview Under Fives all the best of luck in their new home."
