Mark recently paid a visit to Westerings Primary Academy in which he met student council members and Headteacher Adam Stainsbury and AET Regional Director Melissa Heatherson. During the visit Mark shared advice on effective advocacy and leadership. Alongside this, he also gave the student council some guidance on how to present their proposals for adjustments to the school's uniform policy in the most persuasive way.
Commenting after the visit, Mark said:
"As the local MP, I very much enjoyed my visit to Westerings Primary Academy, not least because of the unique design of some of the corridors and classrooms in the school, which was both exciting and innovative. It was also a pleasure to meet with members of the Student Council, who are a credit to the school. I look forward to remaining in touch with Westerings in the future."
