Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, cast his postal vote this morning for Boris Johnson to become Prime Minister.
Mark, who backed Boris throughout the Parliamentary rounds of the Tory Leadership contest has now followed this up by using his personal vote as a Party Member to support the prominent Brexiteer.
Speaking about his decision to ‘Back Boris’ the Essex MP and Vice Chairman of the European Research Group said:
“Boris is the only candidate who is fully committed to taking us out of the EU on 31 October. He voted Leave, whereas his opponent voted Remain, so it’s a very clear choice. We must honour the Referendum verdict of 17.4 million people to leave the UK and Boris is the right man, in the right place at the right time to achieve that and set our country free”
