Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, popped into the newest bar in Rayleigh recently, which has been successfully converted from the old public toilets on the High Street.
The new bar, named “Craftwork”, is based in the completely refurbished set of toilets at the junction of Rayleigh High Street and Crown Hill. The venue, with its slightly quirky location, has already proved popular with local residents.
During his visit, Mark chatted with bar staff about the popularity of the new venue, which has begun to attract clientele from much further afield than just the town of Rayleigh itself.
Commenting on his visit, Mark said:
“It was a pleasure to pop into ‘Craftwork’ recently and see this new bar and try a pint, for myself. Craftwork seems to be a hit with the locals and the beer is as good as the venue is unusual. I wish the team there all success!”
