Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, took time out during the recent Coronation Bank Holiday weekend, to support a special celebration of the happy event held at the Laughing Pear Café, on the London Road, in Rayleigh.
Proprietor, Tony Crosby and his team at the Cafe had decked out their popular cafe with Coronation bunting and baked a special Coronation cake to commemorate Charles being officially crowned King (and his Queen’s Consort Camilla, being crowned Queen.)
Mark dropped in towards the end of what had been an extremely busy weekend for the cafe and their staff, during which Tony reported that they served literally hundreds of customers.
Commenting on the event, Mark Francois MP said: “The celebrations at the Laughing Pear Cafe was one of several Coronation events that I attended over the long Coronation weekend and it was great to see a local business in my constituency well and truly getting into the Coronation spirit
Tony and his team welcomed a large number of people over the long weekend who were keen to show their support for our new King and Queen. The Laughing Pear has always been a popular venue and I wish Tony and all his team the very best for the future.”
