Former UK Armed Forces Minister, Mark Francois MP, demonstrated his support for Ukrainian resistance to the Russian invasion of their country, when he visited a special exhibition of Ukrainian art and photographs, held at the House of Commons.
The Ukrainian exhibition was sponsored by fellow MP, Dame Diana Johnson, and was Coordinated by academics and students from Hull University, in her constituency. The exhibits, some of which are quite harrowing, include photographs by Evgen Maloletka, the Pulitzer Prize winning and Guardian Newspaper Photographer of the Year 2023 award winner.
Speaking about the exhibition, Mark said:
“The exhibition was mounted to commemorate the resistance of the Ukrainian people to the Russian invasion, which began just over two years ago, last month. I was happy to demonstrate my support in person, a I believe that, ultimately, the Ukrainians are now fighting for our freedom too.”
