Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, recently paid a visit to Bromsfords School at Grange Avenue in Wickford to meet for the first time their new Headteacher, Mr Jochen Tree.
There have been several changes of Heads in recent years (including sadly due to the passing of one of Mr Tree's predecessors), so Mark was keen to go to the school and begin to build a relationship with the new Headteacher, Mr Tree.
During their visit, Mark discussed several matters with the new Head, before being taken on a tour of the school, where he had an opportunity to examine some of the school's facilities and meet some of the pupils.
Bromfords are currently bidding into the Department for Education for new capital funding to upgrade some elements of the school- a process which Mark offered to support.
Speaking about his visit to Bromfords School, Wickford, Mark Francois MP said:
"It was a pleasure to visit Bromfords recently and have a chance to get to know their new Head, Mr Jochen Tree, who clearly has ambitious plans for the development at the school. Mr Tree assured me that he is committed to remaining at Bromfords for quite a few years and to see through a programme of change, which he believes will be to the benefit of staff, students and parents alike.
I have now visited both the two schools in Wickford in recent weeks and found each visit to be worthwhile and I wish Bromfords all the best for the future."
