Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, recently met with Essex Polices’ Rochford and Castle Point District Commander, Chief Inspector Paul Hogben.
During the meeting in Westminster, Mark and Chief Inspector Hogben discussed a wide range of issues. This included concerns about speeding, particularly on the High Elms Estate, the safer streets bid for the Rochford District and the number of “specials” for Friday and Saturday nights.
In addition, Mark raised concerns regarding the increasing number of car thefts across the county. Chief Inspector Hogben explained that Essex Police had carried out 10 raids across south Essex under Operation ‘Falcon’, with a number of arrests being made.
Commenting after the meeting, Mark said:
“It is always good to meet with Chief Inspector Hogben to discuss a number of important issues, on behalf of my constituents. Amongst the issues discussed was the increasing number of car thefts across the County- and I was pleased to hear that his team were taking the issue seriously, with a proactive approach. This is certainly an issue I will certainly be following up with Chief Inspector Hogben."
