Rayleigh and Wickford Conservatives enjoyed a special evening recently when Mr Jonathan Isaby, the editor of the specialist website BREXIT Central, addressed them on the latest developments in Britain’s move to leave the European Union.
Jonathan Isaby is a former BBC journalist, Daily Telegraph reporter and Chief Executive of the TaxPayers’ Alliance and now heads up the website which monitors in detail developments relating to Britain’s plan to leave the EU. During his address he laid out the road map for negotiations, following the triggering of Article 50, which is expected to take place by the end of March this year.
As an expert in this field, Mr Isaby’s presentation generated a number of lively questions from the Supper Club audience ranging from the success of the economy despite Brexit through to the likely passage of the current Brexit Bill through the House of Commons.
Commenting on Jonathan Isaby’s speech Rayleigh and Wickford MP Mark Francois said:
“Jonathan is one of the leading authorities in this country on the Brexit process and his website specialises in all matters related to it. This is a very topical subject at present and the 50 or so members of our supper club who were here to hear him found it a very enjoyable and interesting address. Jonathan has promised to keep in touch with us as Brexit plays out and I look forward to continuing to receive his well versed advice on this subject, as we move towards fulfilling the decision of the British people in the referendum that we should leave the EU.”
